With over 20 years of nursing experience and the majority of her career dedicated to wound, ostomy, and continence care, Jillian Rivera brings deep clinical expertise and a genuine passion for education to her work as a legal nurse consultant.
As a certified Wound Care Nurse (WCC) and Ostomy Management Specialist (OMS), she has led wound care programs in hospital, outpatient, and home health settings. Her hands-on experience includes advanced therapies such as negative pressure wound therapy, skin substitutes, and hyperbaric oxygen, along with a strong focus on pressure injury prevention and evidence-based practice.
Jillian has also spent years teaching and mentoring nurses and clinicians, designing curricula, and leading product education for wound care teams. She combines this real-world clinical knowledge with clear communication skills — helping attorneys, legal teams, and healthcare organizations better understand complex wound and ostomy cases.
